Does our government treat all races and religions fairly?

Trayvon Martin was recently shot and killed by a member of a neighborhood watch. He had no weapon on him. Many people feel he was shot, and his shooter was found not guilty of murder, because Trayvon was African American. Many Muslims in America feel they are mistreated because of their religion. Muslims are often searched at airports because of the way they dress. Some people are forbidden from wearing religious clothing, like the hijab, at work. Many people feel the government is not treating all people, especially minorities, equally.
