Do locker and bag searches at school keep you safe? Do they take away your right to privacy?

Schools in Los Angeles and throughout the country have introduced fingerprint scanning. Scanning allows students to get into school quickly. Other schools search lockers for drugs and confiscate cell phones as soon as students enter school. While these may keep schools safe, many people feel that searches violate students’ rights to privacy and their civil rights.
